Robert Grange has lived in the heart of the northern Lakes all his life, and has an uncompromising insight into the moods and landscapes of the national park. His passion for photography developed at an early age. He spent many years working in black and white and had his first exhibition at the age of 17.

The introduction of digital cameras has allowed Robert to combine his enthusiasm for computers with taking photographs. Today all his work is shot using digital SLR cameras which give him the freedom of conventional film coupled with the ease and quality of digital photography. While many computerised images have the reputation of being modified to a high degree, Robert ensures that the image he presents is the one that was there to be captured.
